Quick answer

Boat cleaning services in one minute

What do boat cleaning services include? Boat cleaning services keep a boat clean and protected: washing the hull, deck and non-skid, cleaning stainless, glass, canvas and the interior, and removing waterline stains, mildew and grime. Boat detailing adds deeper work such as oxidation removal, polishing and wax or ceramic protection. In Toronto most of it is done at the marina, in spring before launch, during the season and in fall before storage.

Boat wash

Boat wash in Toronto, done the marine way.

The most common thing boat owners ask us for. A proper boat wash at your slip protects the finish instead of wearing it down.

Hand wash, not a pressure blast

Marine soap, soft brushes and a controlled rinse that is safe for gelcoat, decals and canvas.

Deck and non-skid

Agitated with the right brush so the grip pattern comes clean, not just wet.

Waterline and hull sides

Scum line and surface film lifted where it can be reached from the dock.

Glass, stainless and vinyl

Spots and salt or mineral marks wiped, vinyl cleaned and dried.

Optional hybrid ceramic wax

Wash & Shield adds gloss and UV protection, from $25/ft.

Every week, if you like

Turn it into a plan: weekly from $180 per visit.

Before you hire anyone

7 questions to ask any boat detailer.

Use this list with us or with anyone else. Good boat cleaners answer every question clearly and in writing.

1Will you give me a price before you come?

We quote from photos for free. You should not have to pay for a visit just to learn the price.

2Are your prices published?

Our starting prices are on this page. If a company publishes nothing, ask for a written quote before work starts.

3Are you insured, and can you send a certificate?

Many Toronto clubs ask contractors for proof of insurance. We carry liability insurance and send the certificate on request.

4Will I see the result if I am not there?

Ask for before and after photos. We send photos and video of every job.

5Do you follow marina rules?

Sign-in, tarps under sanding, waste bagged, controlled rinsing. We work this way at every marina.

6Which products do you use on gelcoat and vinyl?

Marine-safe products matched to each surface. Car products and harsh chemicals can damage gelcoat, vinyl and canvas.

7Who does the work?

Our own crew, led by Pavlo, the founder. The same people from quote to finish.

Questions

Boat cleaning and detailing services: your questions.

What boat cleaning services do you offer in Toronto?
Hull and deck cleaning, full yacht detailing inside and out, interior detailing and odor removal, weekly and bi-weekly cleaning, canvas, teak, engine bay and bilge, gelcoat polishing, ceramic coating and wax, bottom painting, hull and bottom acid wash, gelcoat repair, caulking, decal removal, jet ski detailing, pre-season and pre-sale detailing, and shrink wrap.
How much does boat detailing cost in Toronto?
It depends on the service, boat length and condition. Weekly cleaning starts from $180 per visit, a wash with hybrid ceramic wax from $25/ft, full detailing from $15/ft exterior and $10/ft interior, gelcoat polishing from $65/ft and shrink wrap from $23/ft, before 13% HST. Send photos for an exact quote.
What is the difference between boat cleaning and boat detailing?
Boat cleaning is a wash: hull, deck and surfaces cleaned. Boat detailing goes further: seams, hardware, stainless, non-skid, interior, stains and oxidation, often finished with protection like wax or ceramic.
Do you come to my marina?
Yes, we are fully mobile and bring our own equipment. No travel fee in Oakville and Bronte, all of Mississauga including Port Credit, Etobicoke, Mimico and Humber Bay, downtown Toronto and the Islands, East York, North York south of the 401 and Scarborough up to the Bluffs. North York north of the 401, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Brampton, Durham, Burlington, Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, Niagara, Barrie, Lake Simcoe and Peterborough have a travel fee shown in your quote.
Where can I find boat detailing services near me?
If your boat is in Toronto or the GTA, we come to you. We are a mobile boat detailing and boat cleaning service working at 76+ marinas, yards and private docks. Send your marina name and we confirm the date.
Do I need to pay for an assessment first?
No. Use the price calculator on this page for a starting price, then send photos for a free exact quote. If we need to see the boat in person, for example for heavy oxidation or repairs, we tell you before any work starts.
Do you acid wash boats after haul-out?
Yes. We acid wash hulls and bottoms after haul-out to remove the brown waterline, scale and mussel residue, at the marina, in the yard or at home on the trailer. From $500 + HST, depending on condition, growth and size. See boat acid wash.
How often should a boat be cleaned?
Boats in the water all summer stay cleanest with a weekly or bi-weekly wash. Most owners add a full detail in spring and a clean-up before storage in the fall.
Which service do I need for a chalky, faded hull?
That is oxidation. A wash or wax will not fix it; it needs gelcoat polishing, then wax or ceramic to keep the gloss.
Can you do everything in one visit?
Often, yes. For example a wash, interior and wax in one visit, or polishing followed by ceramic. We plan the order so each step protects the last.
Do you detail yachts as well as small boats?
Yes. From jet skis and bowriders to cruisers and yachts with flybridges. See yacht detailing.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry liability insurance and can send a certificate to your marina or club if they ask for one.
How do I pay?
By Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer or credit card. For larger jobs we take a deposit and the rest when the work is done. Maintenance plans get one monthly statement.
Do I need to be at the boat?
No, as long as we have access. We send before and after photos and video of every job.
When is the best time to book?
Spring dates fill first, so book polishing, bottom paint and ceramic early. Shrink wrap is booked from September for October and November haul-outs.
Do you work in winter?
We shrink wrap into late fall and take bookings and gift certificates all winter. Some indoor-storage work is possible by arrangement.
