03

Faded colour, dull, hazy

Inside each level

What you actually get.

Same honest process on every boat. The level decides how deep we go.

01

Wash & Shield · hull wash + wax

from $25/ft hull sides · $30/ft topsides

Best for

Boats with healthy, glossy gelcoat that need cleaning and fresh protection before or during the season. No chalk on your hand when you wipe the hull.

What we do

  • Hand wash of hull sides and waterline grime
  • Decontamination of light film and water spots
  • Machine or hand application of hybrid-ceramic polymer wax
  • Final wipe-down and inspection

The result

Clean, slick hull with UV protection and water beading. Easier to keep clean for the rest of the season.

Honest limits

No polishing, so it will not remove oxidation, haze or swirl marks. If the hull is chalky, you need Oxidation Lift or higher.

Price this level →
02

Oxidation Lift · 1-step compound + protect

from $65/ft hull sides · $70/ft topsides

Best for

Gelcoat that has started to dull: light white residue on your hand, faded shine on hull sides and transom.

What we do

  • Wash, decontaminate and inspect oxidation level
  • Mask decals, trim and sensitive areas
  • Deep machine compounding to cut the oxidized layer
  • Protection with wax or polymer sealant

The result

Oxidation removed, colour and gloss back. A big visual change for the money, ideal before launch or a sale.

Honest limits

A single step can leave light haze on dark hulls. For a deeper, haze-free finish choose Deep Gloss.

Price this level →
03

Deep Gloss · 2-step rotary + dual-action

from $75/ft hull sides · $80/ft topsides

Best for

Faded colour, dull or hazy gelcoat, and dark hulls where every swirl shows. Our recommended level for most boats on Lake Ontario.

What we do

  • Wash, decontaminate, inspect and mask
  • Cutting stage with a rotary polisher to remove oxidation
  • Finishing stage with a dual-action polisher to remove haze and holograms
  • Protection with wax, polymer sealant or ceramic (ceramic priced as Showroom Restore)

The result

Deep, wet-looking reflection with no haze. The finish people stop and look at on the dock.

Honest limits

Deep scratches you can catch with a fingernail, cracks and crazing need gelcoat repair, not polishing.

Price this level →
04

Chalk Rescue · wet-sand + 2-step

from $100/ft hull sides · $105/ft topsides

Best for

Heavily oxidized, chalky or rough gelcoat on boats that sat for years, faded reds and blues, neglected hulls.

What we do

  • Wash, decontaminate and test-spot the gelcoat
  • Wet sanding to level the damaged surface
  • Rotary compounding to remove sanding marks
  • Dual-action polish for clarity, then protection

The result

Colour and gloss brought back on gelcoat most people would call too far gone.

Honest limits

Results depend on how much healthy gelcoat is left. Very thin or worn-through gelcoat may need paint. We check before we start and tell you straight.

Price this level →
05

Showroom Restore + ceramic

from $130/ft hull sides · $135/ft topsides

Best for

Owners who want the best possible finish and protection that lasts well beyond one season, including new boats.

What we do

  • Full correction to the level your gelcoat needs
  • Surface prep and panel wipe before coating
  • Professional ceramic coating application
  • Final inspection under proper lighting

The result

Maximum gloss, strong UV and water resistance, and much easier washing for seasons, not weeks.

Honest limits

Ceramic protects a finish, it doesn’t fix one. That is why correction comes first and is included here.

How we work

Real correction, no cover-ups.

01

Wash and inspect

Decontaminate, then check oxidation level and defect depth.

02

Mask and protect

Trim, decals and sensitive areas are taped off.

03

Machine compound

Cuts away chalky oxidation and levels light defects.

04

Polish

Refines clarity for an even, deep gloss on every panel.

05

Protect

Wax, polymer sealant or ceramic to slow future oxidation.

Honest note: polishing can’t fix deep scratches, cracks, crazing or missing gelcoat. We tell you what’s realistic before we start.

    Questions

    Polishing FAQ

How much does boat polishing cost in Toronto?
Our 2026 prices start from $25/ft for a hull wash and wax, $65/ft for a 1-step deep compound with protection, $75/ft for a 2-step polish (rotary, then dual-action for a haze-free deep gloss), $100/ft for heavy oxidation with wet sanding and a 2-step polish and $130/ft for full restoration with ceramic. Topsides are priced separately, $5/ft more than the hull level. Prices are before HST and the final price depends on the condition.
    Will compounding remove chalky gelcoat?
Yes, that’s what it’s for. Compounding cuts away the oxidized layer, then polishing restores gloss and clarity. A light polish or wax alone will not remove real oxidation.
My boat isn’t oxidized. Which level do I need?
Usually a hull wash and wax with hybrid-ceramic polymer protection from $25/ft. If the hull feels chalky or leaves white residue on your hand, you need compounding (from $65/ft).
    Can you remove scratches too?
Light surface defects, yes. Deep scratches you can catch with a fingernail may not fully disappear. We’ll tell you what’s realistic before we start.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. We price per foot of boat length and confirm the exact price for your boat after seeing photos, so you know the number before we start.
How long does the result last?
It depends on sun exposure and maintenance. Protection after polishing (wax, polymer sealant or ceramic) extends the result a lot.
What is the difference between hull sides and topsides?
Hull sides are the outside of the hull above the waterline. Topsides here means the deck, cabin top, cockpit and superstructure. Topsides take more hours (more corners, non-skid, hardware, a full wash), so each level costs $5/ft more on topsides.
    Why rotary and then dual-action?
The rotary polisher cuts oxidation fast. The dual-action polisher then refines the surface and removes the haze and holograms a rotary can leave, which matters most on dark hulls. That combination is our Deep Gloss level.
    Wax or ceramic after polishing?
Wax or polymer sealant is cheaper and good for one season. Ceramic costs more but keeps the gloss and makes washing easier for much longer. We’ll tell you honestly which makes sense for how you use the boat.
Do you polish at my marina?
Yes. We’re mobile and work at marinas, yacht clubs and storage yards from Oakville to Scarborough, subject to each facility’s contractor rules.
    How long does polishing take?
Depends on boat size and oxidation level. A light enhancement can be a day; heavier correction takes longer. Send photos and the boat length for an accurate estimate.
