Quick answer

Full boat detailing in one minute

What is yacht detailing? Yacht detailing is a thorough cleaning of a boat inside and out: the hull and topsides, decks and non-skid, stainless, glass and canvas, plus the cabin, salon, heads and galley. It goes further than a wash, reaching seams, hardware and tight areas, and it can include protection such as wax or ceramic. In Toronto it is usually done at the marina, in spring before launch and in fall before storage.

What it is
Full boat and yacht detailing, inside and out, in one visit at your marina: hull and topsides, deck and non-skid, stainless, glass, cabin, salon and head.
Three levels

Price
Exterior and interior are priced separately. Standard from $15/ft outside and $10/ft inside, High Quality from $30 and $15, Deep from $35 and $20, before HST. Every package is custom; the final price depends on condition and is confirmed from photos. Polishing is separate, from $65/ft: see polishing prices.
How long
From a few hours for Standard on a smaller boat to one or two days for a Deep detail on a large cruiser or yacht.
Where
In the water, on the hard or on a trailer, at 70+ marinas and yacht clubs from Oakville to Scarborough and beyond.

Three detailing packages

Standard, High Quality or Deep package.

Choose the package that matches the condition. We recommend honestly, and you approve the scope of your boat detailing package before we start in Toronto.

Every package is custom. Exterior and interior are priced separately, so you can book the outside, the inside or both. Prices are starting points per foot, before 13% HST. The final price depends on the boat’s length, condition and complexity, and we confirm it from photos before any work starts. Polishing and oxidation removal are separate, from $65/ft.

Maintenance

Standard Detailing

Exterior from $15/ftInterior from $10/ft

Our maintenance service: a clean, uniform finish for boats that are looked after regularly.

Exterior

  • Hull wash and deck wash with safe marine cleaners
  • Light waterline cleaning where applicable
  • Spot-cleaning of high-touch areas: rails, cleats, transom
  • Dry and finish wipe-down for a clean, uniform look

Interior

  • Surface wipe-down of vinyl and main cabin areas
  • Quick clean of visible dust and sand
  • Basic, non-invasive odor refresh

Best for

  • You maintain the boat regularly and want it clean, glossy and presentable
  • Light grime or light waterline marks, no heavy oxidation
  • A quick, efficient clean before guests, a weekend trip or a showing

Designed for maintenance, not correction. If we see oxidation, deep stains or scratches that need compounding, we show you and price it separately.

Exterior from $30/ftInterior from $15/ft

Our premium package: a premium clean that looks finished, not just washed. Our signature service for a tight, high-end result.

Exterior

  • Thorough hull and topsides wash, more detailed than maintenance
  • Deck wash with attention to non-skid, proper agitation where needed
  • Waterline and surface film clean-up where possible
  • Stainless and chrome hand-polish: rails, cleats, fittings
  • Tight-area detailing: seams, corners, hardware lines, transom
  • Final wipe-down for a clean, even finish

Interior

  • Dusting and wipe-down of main interior surfaces
  • Vacuuming floors and main cabin areas
  • Quick sanitation wipe of bathrooms and showers
  • Touch-point cleaning so the interior feels fresh again

Best for

  • A premium clean that looks sharp in person and in photos

Full reset

Deep Detailing

Exterior from $35/ftInterior from $20/ft

The deep package for seasonal resets, heavier grime, non-skid build-up, waterline marks, dull surfaces and boats that haven’t been detailed properly in a while.

Exterior

  • Hull and topsides wash, deeper than maintenance cleaning
  • Deck wash plus deep non-skid cleaning
  • Contaminant removal: film, embedded grime, mineral build-up where possible
  • Stainless and chrome hand-polish
  • Target work: transom, rub rail lines, hardware, corners, seams, tight areas
  • Light oxidation improvement, only when it makes sense for the surface

Interior

  • Dusting and wipe-down, including higher and hard-to-reach areas
  • Vacuuming floors and main interior areas
  • Bathroom and shower sanitation
  • Touch-point detailing for a fresh-again result

Best for

  • Boats that feel tired after the season
  • Deep grime on non-skid and around fittings and hardware
  • Waterline marks and surface film that a standard wash won’t remove
  • Prepping for events, weekends or listing photos

If the gelcoat is chalky, dull or heavily oxidized, we recommend gelcoat compounding and polishing for true correction.

Questions

Yacht and full boat detailing: your questions.

What does full boat detailing include?
Inside and out in one visit: hull and topsides wash, deck and non-skid, waterline, stainless and chrome, glass, plus the cabin, salon and head. The level you choose decides how deep we go in each area.
What’s the difference between Standard, High Quality and Deep detailing?
Standard keeps a well-maintained boat clean. High Quality adds tight-area work, stainless polishing and a fuller interior for a premium finish. Deep is a full reset for boats after a season or a long sit, with contaminant removal and the most interior work.
Do you detail yachts and large cruisers?
Yes. We detail everything from jet skis to large cruisers and yachts, including flybridges, hardtops, salons, staterooms, heads and galleys, at your marina.
How much does yacht detailing cost in Toronto?
Exterior and interior are priced separately per foot, before 13% HST: Standard from $15 outside and $10 inside, High Quality from $30 and $15, Deep from $35 and $20. You can book one side or both. Every boat is different, so the final price depends on length, condition and complexity and is confirmed from photos. Oxidation removal and protection are separate: see polishing and ceramic and wax.
Does a full detail remove oxidation?
Light surface film, sometimes. Chalky or heavily oxidized gelcoat needs compounding and polishing, which is a separate service. We tell you honestly before adding work.
How long does a full detail take?
A few hours for Standard on a smaller boat, up to one or two days for a Deep detail on a large cruiser or yacht.
Can you do it while the boat is in the water?
Yes. Most detailing is done at the slip. Work below the waterline is done on the hard, together with bottom paint if needed.
Do I need to be there?
Usually not, as long as we have access. We take before and after photos and video of every job and send them to you.
How often should I book a full detail?
Most owners book a Deep detail in spring or fall and Standard or High Quality through the season. For ongoing care, see weekly boat cleaning.
Can you prepare my boat for sale?
Yes. A clean, glossy boat photographs better and sells faster. See pre-sale detailing. In Hamilton we prepared two boats for brokers: mildew and rust removed, vinyl and isinglass UV-protected, hulls waxed, covered and secured.
Do you come to my marina?
Yes. No travel fee in Oakville and Bronte, all of Mississauga including Port Credit, Etobicoke, Mimico and Humber Bay, downtown Toronto and the Islands, East York, North York south of the 401 and Scarborough up to the Bluffs. North York north of the 401, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Brampton, Durham, Burlington, Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, Niagara, Barrie, Lake Simcoe and Peterborough have a travel fee shown in your quote.
How do I pay?
By Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer or credit card. For larger jobs we take a deposit, and the rest once the work is done.
