TORONTO BOAT DETAILING

Ceramic Coating & Boat Waxing (Protective Coatings) in Toronto & GTA

Protection is what keeps your boat looking “just detailed” longer. We apply marine wax, polymer sealants, and ceramic coatings to hulls, topsides and detail surfaces for stronger gloss, UV protection, and less cleaning time. Clear scope, honest recommendations — no overselling.

What’s Included in Protective Coatings (Wax / Polymer / Ceramic)

We tailor the coating plan to your boat’s finish and condition (gelcoat, paint, previously coated surfaces). Typical scope includes:

Surface Prep (Core)

  • Wash + surface decontamination (remove film, grime, residue)
  • Inspect gelcoat/paint condition
  • Light prep polishing as needed to help protection bond evenly (level depends on condition)

Protective Coating Application (Core)

  • Application of your chosen protection (wax / polymer / ceramic)
  • Clean, even finish with attention to high-visibility areas
  • Coating plan is defined before we start (no surprises)
Marine Wax Polymer Sealant Marine Ceramic

Detail Surfaces (Core)

  • Key exterior detail zones where applicable
  • Rails/touch areas (as appropriate)
  • Fiberglass steps and swim platform zones
  • Trim/detail fiberglass panels

Optional (Only With Approval)

  • Multi-step machine polishing before coating (oxidation/swirl correction)
  • Ceramic coating upgrade (higher durability tier)
  • Water spot/mineral spot treatment before coating
  • Vinyl protection / UV protectant for seats (surface-appropriate)
  • Maintenance spray topper / booster between washes
Honest note: Protection is not magic. The final look depends on the finish underneath. If the gelcoat is oxidized/chalky, coating alone won’t restore it — polishing is what brings back gloss first. We’ll tell you straight what’s needed (and what’s not).

Ceramic vs Wax vs Polymer (What to Choose)

We recommend based on how you use the boat and where it sits (sun exposure, marina conditions, wash frequency).

Ceramic Coating (Best Durability / Easiest Cleaning)

  • Strongest long-term protection
  • Better resistance to UV fade, grime and staining
  • Makes washing faster and easier

Best for: seasonal protection, premium boats, owners who want less cleaning time.

Polymer Sealant (Great Value / Longer Than Wax)

  • More durability than wax
  • Strong gloss + good water behavior

Best for: mid-season protection, owners who want better longevity without going full ceramic.

Marine Wax (Classic Gloss / Budget-Friendly)

  • Deep shine and smooth finish
  • Needs more frequent re-application

Best for: quick refresh, “looks good now”, maintenance schedule boats.

Protective Coating Packages

Choose the level that matches condition — we’ll recommend honestly.

Wax / Sealant Protection (Maintenance)

Best when the finish is in decent shape and you want clean gloss + easier maintenance.

  • Wash + prep
  • Marine wax or polymer sealant
  • Quick protection reset

Great for: regular maintenance, mid-season refresh, boats that are already well-kept.

Correction + Ceramic (Case-by-Case)

For oxidized or heavily swirled finishes where you want the best possible result.

  • Multi-step polishing/correction (as required)
  • Ceramic coating after correction
  • Highest gloss + best protection outcome
Note: Severe oxidation may require more time and has realistic limits. We’ll explain expectations before starting.

FAQs

How long does ceramic coating last on a boat?
It depends on prep quality, exposure, and maintenance. Ceramic generally lasts much longer than wax/sealant, but marine conditions are harsh. We’ll recommend the right tier based on your use.
Will ceramic coating remove oxidation?
No. Oxidation must be corrected by polishing first. Coating protects what’s underneath — it doesn’t “fix” chalky gelcoat.
Is it safe for gelcoat and painted surfaces?
Yes — we use marine-appropriate products and match the coating to the surface type.
Do I still need to wash the boat after ceramic?
Yes, but it’s faster and easier. Less scrubbing, less film buildup, better rinse-off behavior.
Can you do protection only (without full detailing)?
We can, but we still need proper wash/prep for the coating to bond correctly. We’ll define the scope clearly.
